Football Day in Saskatoon was a tremendous celebration of the sport, showcasing every level of football talent in our community. Over 2,000 youth flag athletes took to the university grounds around Griffiths Stadium, filling the fields with energy and excitement. The day featured two KFL games, one Hilltop division game, and one Huskie division game, along with a high school matchup between E.D. Feehan and Mount Royal. Fans also enjoyed three Toon Squad female flag games, highlighting the growing strength of women’s football in Saskatchewan. The festivities culminated in the Huskies’ clash against the Alberta Golden Bears, rounding out an unforgettable day.
The event was a huge success for football in our city and province, bringing together players, fans, and families from all levels of the game—and even earning national recognition for its impact and spirit.
